The Case: A powerful body that is shock resistant, dust resistant, mud resistant, low temperature resistant, and water resistant truly earns the name Master of G. The foundations for the case come from the carbon core guard structure. Four stainless-steel pipes form a metal frame that join the bezel securely with the case back for increased shock resistance. The crown which can be seen at the 3 o\'clock position features two raised guards either side to prevent it from any accidental knocks and grazes. Moreover, the words G-Shock can be seen at the top of the dial with the slogan \'protection\' at the bottom. All in all the case sits at 60.3 x 57.7 x 20.2mm a large yet capable piece. The Strap: The strap is made from high quality resin with a army green design, of which the watch could be used in. It features two details with the labels of \'navigation system\' and \'carbon fibre solar powering\' of which will be talked about below. The silver stainless steel buckle has a two pronged design which reduces the likelihood of the strap coming lose in any expeditions. The lug width of the strap is approximately 33mm which fits well with the large case. The Dial & Functions: At the time this was the first G-Shock capable of GPS navigation. GPS and a digital compass combine to guide you to your destinations, while the watch tracks your routes and stores way-point information in memory, making this the perfect tool for survival activities. A dual charging system supports both wireless charging and solar charging. GPS functions can be used for 33 hours after about five hours of wireless charging. When the battery reaches a level where GPS is no longer supported, it can be temporarily restored by exposing the watch to high-intensity light for solar charging. Connecting over Bluetooth® to the G-SHOCK Connected app running on a phone greatly expands GPS function performance, allowing you to create routes, display your routes on 3D maps and more. In terms of the design of the dial it features a black digital display. The display can be illuminated using a full automatic light. In low light, the face will illuminate automatically when you tilt the watch towards yourself.
