Surrounding the dial is a tough black CARBONOX case which features a unidirection bezel in increments of 5 seconds. In 2006, Luminox introduced an innovative carbon compound material, which “consists of carbon long bars or carbon powder in varying percentages depending on the model”, also known as CARBONOX. This takes the watches durability to a whole new level. Also, hardened mineral crystal glass sits above the dial which has an rating of between 550-650 Vickers. Vickers are a unit of measurement which is used to test the hardness of glass. The test involves observing a material\'s ability to resist plastic deformation from a standard source. Then, a black rubber strap can be fastened using a standard buckle. Functions: All Luminox watches feature a self-powered illumination system employing tiny micro gas light sources.
