Also, on the reverse of the case is a exhibition window which allows you to see all the intricate workings of the watch. In terms of visualisation the only upgrade is the branded Prospex \'X\' logo at 12 o\'clock.  The case comes in a convenient 39.5mm diameter, 13.2mm thickness alongside the strap having a lug-to-lug width of 46mm. The strap consists of black leather which can be fastened using a fold over clasp. Functions: Now, Seiko have taken the aspects of the 2006 model and upgraded them ever so slightly. The new model uses a 6R35 calibre which comes with a colossal seventy hour power reserve, 21,600 beats per minute and sapphire crystal which has been reworked, now with a date magnifier and an anti-reflective coating on the inner surface. The anti-reflective coating helps to prevent glare on the watch which is particularly beneficial when climbing up a mountain on a hot summers day. The watch has a \'go anywhere, do anything\' water resistance of 200 metres. On the side of the case is a twin crown setup, with the lower controlling the inner compass with the one positioned at 3 o\'clock controlling the time and date. Again, the inner compass further boasts the main purpose of the piece to scale the highest of mountains.
