Seiko Prospex Save The Ocean ‘Samurai’ Automatic Blue Dial Stainless Steel Bracelet Mens Watch SRPD23K1 The Case: The Seiko Prospex Save The Ocean \'Samurai\' SRPD23K1 features one of Seiko’s most revered case designs. It is crafted out of brushed stainless steel and it measures 43mm in diameter. The tapered edges of the case give it its distinctive diamond shape and also provide it with its name, as it looks as if the edges have been sliced off by a samurai sword. A bi-colour unidirectional rotating bezel that exhibits a 60-minute scale and a luminescent pip at 12 o’clock. On the side of the case at 3 o’clock there is a prominent crown that is protected by a tapered crown guard that protects the crown from being knocked out of place when diving. Hardlex crystal glass provides the watch with protection against scratches and shattering. The Dial: The Save The Ocean ‘Samuari’ features an oceanic blue dial that exhibits a unique pattern that is reminiscent of waves, forming a connection between the watch and the Save The Ocean campaign. The dial exhibits an uncomplicated layout that offers functionality and legibility, through bold silver hour markers and a sword-style handset that is comparable with the design of a katana. Both the hour markers and handset have been generously filled with Lumibrite material, which enables the dial to be read in the dark. Around the edge of the dial there is an angled chapter ring that displays a white 60-minute scale. At 3 o’clock a date-display window replaces the hour marker, whilst the Seiko logo is positioned neatly beneath the 12 o’clock marker. The Bracelet: This watch comes presented on a classic 3-link oyster style bracelet, that bestows the watch with a robust sporty feel. The bracelet is crafted out of stainless steel and it has been treated to a satin brushed finish. It fastens through the use of a three-fold secure clasp with push button deployment. The Features: This timepiece is powered by Seiko’s exclusive 4R35 calibre automatic movement that operates at a frequency of 21,600 VPH and has a power reserve of 41 hours. It has an accuracy of -35/+45 seconds per day. It is water resistant up to 200 metres, which means that it can be worn when snorkelling.
