The 200 metre water resistance rating that comes with this watch brings out the diving expertise and precise timekeeping Seiko is built on. The watch also comes with an additional black silicone strap showing the twilight is designed to help the wearer discover more of their planet. The dial has a beautiful deep blue sunburst dial to resemble the colour of the Mediterranean sea. The indexes and hands are coated in LumiBrite which allows for easy vision for the depths of the sea or a dusk night. Taking the place of the 3 o\'clock index is a simplistic date window, which in addition to the hands, is powered by a precise 23 jewel automatic movement with a caliber 6R15 engine. The dial is protected by reliable sapphire crystal glass and a silver stainless steel case. Ontop of the case is a black and orange bezel with seconds displayed at 10 second intervals. Around the very edge of the case is a jagged design which has been coined by Seiko enthusiasts as a \'tuna case\'. On the flip side of the case the back has a screw down design. The watch comes with two straps, a black resin and silver stainless steel bracelet, fastened by a standard buckle or fold over clasp respectively.  This watch was made and designed in Japan as highlighted by the \'J1\' suffix, again increases the expert craftmanship of this timepiece.  This watch has a water resistance of 200 metres, making it suitable for swimming and diving.
