The Case: The Lorus Sports Chronograph Quartz R2387KX9 is made from a combination of plastic and stainless steel. The bezel and the watch’s 4-screw case back are made from stainless steel. On the side of the case there are four push buttons that are located at the 2, 4, 8 and 10 o’clock positions - they provide the wearer with access to the watch’s functions. Curved acrylic glass provides the watch with protection against scratches and shattering.  The Dial: The digital display dial is separated into four sections, each of which displays a different function. The bottom half of the dial displays the analogical time, while the top half of the dial consists of three different displays. The window on the top left hand side of the dial houses the seconds display, the window underneath the 12 o’clock marker exhibits the date-display and the day-display is located in the top right hand corner of the dial. The Lorus logo is presented in white at the top of the dial.  The Strap: The watch comes equipped with a navy silicone strap. The strap is perforated which is an ideal design feature for a sports watch, as it allows the watch to breathe. The strap fastens through the use of a standard stainless steel buckle. The Functions: This timepiece is powered by quartz movements. The dial is illuminated by an electronic backlight, it offers a time/calendar display including hour, minute, second, month, date, and day. It features a 12/24 hour display, an alarm, a stopwatch and a countdown timer. It has a water resistance of 100 metres.
