The crown, of which can be seen at the 3 o’clock position, can be pulled out to adjust the time and date window. All in all, the case measures at a diameter of 38mm which complements the sleek height of just 10mm. Sat inline with the case is sapphire crystal glass for enhanced scratch resistance. It also has a double anti-reflective coating on each side of the glass to prevent any glare when the sun strikes the dial. The Strap: The beautiful black leather strap complements the black dial and case well, making for a stylish addition to your wrist. The strap can be easily fastened using a stainless steel buckle according to your size and taste. The Dial: The matte black dial has a simple yet classy design. Around the edge of the dial are silver standard line markers to indicate the seconds. Sat just below the 12 o’clock index is the ever present Junghans logo with the easy to read date window at 3 o’clock. For those nighttime adventures, the hands and each 3 hour index feature an environmentally friendly luminous coating which allows for easy visibility at night. The Functions: The silver steel hour, minute and second hands are powered by a automatic movement, which is achieved through the notion of kinetic energy. The module in particular used is J800.1 which is known for its long life power reserve of 38 hours and reliability.
