The watch’s design adheres to the classic aesthetics of a military watch. The circular case and the fixed bezel have been brushed giving it a matte and scratch resistant appearance, while a recessed push-pull crown is positioned besides at the 3 o’clock mark. Both the watch’s open case back and the front of it are protected by highly durable hardlex crystal glass. The Dial: This timepiece has a matte blue dial and it exhibits a 24-hour time display which is presented through Arabic numerals and a two step design. The outer dial displays the 12-hour time scale in bold white numeral, with a day-date display window replacing the 3 o’clock marker. The 24-hour scale is presented in the inner dial, as is the Seiko logo which is located under the 24-hour mark. A sword style handset occupies the centre of the dial; it has been filled with Seiko’s lumibrite material. It is made from nylon, which is both durable and comfortable on the wrist. The strap has leather sizing holes which ensure the longevity of the timepiece. The strap fastens through the use of a sand blasted standard buckle that has the Seiko logo etched into it. The Functions: Seiko’s exclusive 7S36 calibre automatic movement powers this watch, it consists of 23 jewels and it offers an accuracy of -20/+40 seconds per day as well as a power reserve of 41 hours.
