Maurice Lacroix Aikon Urban Tribe Automatic Black Dial Stainless Steel Bracelet Limited Edition Men’s Watch AI6008-SS009-330-1 Mauirce Lacroix’s latest collaboration with Parisian freeruner, Simon Nogueria, is brimming with urban style. The watch’s unique laser engraved design is inspired by patterns that are reminiscent of Maori tattoos, the ultimate means of self-expression.  Limited to just 500 watches. The Dial: Thinner, elegant and more refined rose gold indices are one of the many subtle new features this watch brandishes. Notably, the hands are rose gold and rhodium plated which looks great when the light glimmers of it. The bijou handset creates more space for a larger logo and ‘Automatic’ text that sits above the 6 o’clock index. Also, a matching date window sits beside the 3 o’clock index. The Case: The sharp barrel case steel case is forged from stainless steel that has been treated with a brushed finish. The case has been laser engraved with an idiosyncratic tribal style design. Another one of the standout features of the watch is the ‘Claws’ that surround the bezel, this is an instantly recognisable addition which helps define the refined shape of the case. The case also consists of a screw-down crown positioned at the 3 o’clock marker and sapphire crystal glass which offer superlative scratch and shatter resistance. The Dial: The sunburst Clous de Paris design dial features thin, elegant and more refined silver indices. A rhodium pencil-style handset is filled with a luminescent material which enables the dial to be read in the dark. A date-display window is present besides the 3 o’clock marker, whilst the Maurice Lacroix logo is presented in white beneath the the 12 o’clock marker. A 60-minute scale is located on the dial’s chapter ring. The Bracelet: The stainless steel 5-link bracelet also bears the same laser engraved tribal motif as the case.The bracelet fastens using a hidden butterfly clasp that has a ‘perlage’ design. The addition of a quick release butterfly buckle makes this process smooth and easy. Functions: The 2018 Automatic collection features two traditionally-powered timepieces: a three-hand with date model and a chronograph version fitted with a day-date function and update movement. One of the standout functions of this watch, that sets it apart from its Quartz predecessor, is the automatic ML155 movement, made exclusively by Maurice LaCroix. It also offers the wearer a power reserve of 38 hours, because of the 26 jewels feature within the ML155 movement, which also allow the watch to operate with extreme precision. It operates at a rate of 28’800 vph / 4 Hz. This watch has a water resistance of 200 metres, making it suitable for diving.
