Seiko Presage ‘Eternal’ Automatic Blue Dial Blue Leather Strap Ladies Watch SPB236J1 The Case: Seiko Presage Eternal Ladies Watch SPB236J1 Automatic Leather Strap features a circular gold PVD stainless steel case that measures 34.3mm in diameter. The case has been treated to a brushed finish and it features a fixed bezel and an oversized crown at 3 o’clock that is completed with a diamond on the crown. The caseback is screwed down and it has been engraved with the watch’s limited edition number between 0-1000. The case is completed with dual curved sapphire crystal glass with an inner anti-reflective coating.  The Dial: The dial is crafted out of enamel and presented in a deep blue hue. Each genuine enamel dial is a completely unique creation, so no two watch faces are the same. Fired by experts, each timepiece’s standalone beauty is within any individualities that the artisan methods create.  The design of this limited-edition timepiece is based around a traditional Japanese legend of a strong independent woman: Princess Kaguya, represented on the watch with a crescent moon on the second hand and the ‘moonlight’ sky colours of gold and indigo. The story tells of how Kaguya-hime, “the shining princess” was found and raised by a bamboo cutter and his wife to grow into a beautiful young lady. Declining marriage proposals from nobles and the Emperor himself by setting her suitors impossible challenges, she eventually chooses to return to her celestial origins on the moon instead. The dial also features an elegant leaf-style handset that is presented in white, with a golden seconds hand. Likewise, the hour markers are presented using a combination of white baton style hour markers and gold Roman style markers.  The Strap: The watch comes presented on an elegant blue crocodile leather strap, it is complete with a gold stainless steel three-fold clasp with push button release.  The Functions:  The watch is powered by calibre 6R31 automatic movement that consists of 24 jewels and has an accuracy of -15/+25 seconds per day. The movement also offers hand-winding and it has a power reserve of 70 hours.
