Ball Engineer Master II Diver Chronometer Automatic Blue Dial Stainless Steel Men’s Watch DM2280A-S1C-BE The Case: The Ball Engineer Master II Diver Chronometer DM2280A-S1C-BE features a stainless steel case that measures 42mm in diameter. The case has been treated to a brushed finish and it also features a mu-metal shield coating which provides the case with exceptional toughness against magnetism. The case is also designed using an Amortiser patented anti-shock system that safeguards the inner movements against any external impact. The case also consists of a blue sapphire crystal inner rotating bezel, which exhibits a 60-minute scale and micro gas tubes so that it can be read in the dark. The bezel can be operated through one of the two screw-down crowns at the side of the case. Sapphire crystal glass has also been treated to an anti-reflective coating, ensuring optimum readability. The Dial: The dial is presented in blue with a sunray style design. The dial features elongated luminescent hour markers and a sword-style handset which is filled with luminescence, enabling readability in the dark. Surrounding the hour markers is a 60-minute scale, whilst the 3 o’clock marker is replaced by a date-display window that is magnified by a cyclops lens. The Ball logo is presented in white beneath the 12 o’clock marker. The Bracelet: The bracelet is made from stainless steel and it has also been treated to a PVD coating, guareneeting the longevity of this piece. It comes stylised in a distinctive H-link fashion, which offers something different than the typical oyster-style bracelet found on most other dive watches. The bracelet also exhibits a combination of brushed and polished finishes, which complement the overall sleek aesthetics of this timepiece. It fastens securely using a folding buckle.  The Functions: This timepiece is powered by Ball’s RRM7309-C calibre movement that provides it with an astounding 80-hour power reserve and a frequency of 28,800vph. The movement is COSC certified, which means that it has been subjected to tests over a 13-day period to ensure that it meets the required standards. Only 3 of all Swiss watches are COSC certified.
