This handcrafted Glenmorangie malt whisky is matured for 10 years and comes straight from casks of mountain oak at its traditional strength without any chill filtering. At the strength of 57.2% the bouquet is robust but distinctly Glenmorangie. The addition of a little water releases a fascinating range of subtle aromas: cloves, vanilla, honey and citrus fruits all entwined with a hint of peat smoke. Nose: Very light and estery: citrus fruits, vanilla, wet grass/gorse, floral, subtle oak tones. Palate: Charming, sweet, summery. Lemon, orange, coconut, vanilla, dried apple and beautifully-balanced light oak. Gentle, with stunning balance. Finish: Soft, oak, spices.
