This is a rare bottling of Highland Park and the first of the Sword Collection. This bottling was only available in Taiwan and the distillery shop. The most northerly of Scottish whisky distilleries, Highland Park was founded in 1798 and is one of the most highly regarded single malts in the world, the great Michael Jackson calling it, The greatest all-rounder in the world of whisky. and Paul Pacult awarded it, The Best Spirit in the World. in 2005. The unique peat of Orkney gives the whisky a distinctive heathery sweetness. Nose: Smoky heather, citrus zest and plenty of dried fruit. Palate: The palate is smoky with a hint of salt and then comes a generous helping of dried fruits and warm spices. Finish: The finish is long and smoky with a little vanilla and plenty of fruit.
