Herring Bilsworth is a toe-cap Oxford with a difference. Rather than play to the formal strengths of the style, we have chosen to be playful instead. So here you get a polished leather upper, bright welt stitch and the thick cushioned Solovair sole - all in the name of individuality. If you want to subvert the norms then this shoe is a subtle statement. Also note that this polished calf is actually fairly matt in appearance so it would be more accurate to call it is a corrected calf but it is still, technically, a polished calf.
